Privacy policy

This is our privacy policy. It covers InTimeQ — the mobile app, the web experience, and the business dashboards — operated by the InTimeQ team from India.

We wrote it to be readable. If a section feels like it is hiding something, write to privacy@intimeq.com and we will rewrite it.

What we collect

From customers:

  • Phone number and country code — to sign you in and send notifications.
  • A display name you chose — so operators can call out something other than your token number.
  • Queue activity — which queues you joined, your token numbers, when you were served.
  • Optional: your approximate location, only when you opt in to search for places near you.
  • Device identifier for push notifications — used to deliver and no more.

From vendor staff (operators, property admins, owners):

  • Phone number — same as customers.
  • Role and assigned property/ies.
  • Action log — what they did in the app (for audit).

What we do not collect

  • Your contacts or address book.
  • Your photos or any media from your device.
  • Your precise GPS without your explicit consent.
  • Any financial information. InTimeQ does not handle payments.

What we do with it

Only three things:

  1. Run the queue you joined.
  2. Send you a notification when your turn is near.
  3. Measure how the platform performs so we can improve it.

We do not sell data. We do not share your phone number with the vendor whose queue you joined.

Who can see what

  • You see your own queue history.
  • Vendor staff see the tokens in their queue and the display names attached to them. They do not see your phone number.
  • Platform admins can see any user's state only when troubleshooting, and every such access is audited.

Your rights

  • You can see what we have on you — request from the app or write to us.
  • You can delete your account — permanently and irreversibly.
  • You can opt out of non-essential notifications from the profile screen.

How long we keep it

  • Active account data — as long as your account is active.
  • Deleted account data — anonymised immediately, deleted in 30 days.
  • Records of activity on your account — retained while the account is active.

Where it lives

Indian production data lives in data centres in India. We do not move it abroad for normal operation.

Data Protection Officer

Under India's DPDP Act (2023), our designated Data Protection Officer (DPO) is Vipin Kumar. Reach the DPO at privacy@intimeq.com for any data-protection concern, grievance, or request to see or delete the data we hold on you. We respond within the statutory deadlines.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we tell you in the app before the change takes effect, not after. The “last updated” date at the top of this page moves whenever a change is made.
