Meera, 34 weeks pregnant
Her name was Meera. Her wait was three hours.
“Three hours. Hard chair. Your toddler wants water.”
Meera was 34 weeks in and had come for a routine check-up. The sign at Dr Sharma’s clinic said first come first served. The line, when she arrived at 9:03 a.m., was twenty-one women deep.
By 10:00 a.m. she knew she would not be seen by noon. By 11:00 a.m. her toddler had finished the snacks and started to cry. By 12:30 p.m. she could no longer sit comfortably, and her turn was still fourth away.
This is why we built InTimeQ.
Meera now joins Dr Sharma’s queue from home. She gets a ping when she is three ahead. She leaves only when she needs to leave. The clinic bench is for women who are already being seen.
If you are pregnant, elderly, a parent, or tired — you should not have to earn your turn by standing for it.
